They are commonly found in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deroek.nl\/blog\/deelerwoud-een-prachtig-fiets-en-wandelgebied-n\/\">natural areas<\/a>. Ticks are most active during the summer months. While a tick bite is often harmless, in some cases, it can lead to the highly unpleasant Lyme disease.<\/p>\n<p>To prevent the risk of this disease, the website of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tekenbeetziekten.nl\/de-teek-en-tekenbeetziekten\/hoe-voorkom-je-een-tekenbeet\/\">Tick-Borne Diseases Foundation<\/a> provides several recommendations.
